Master Classes & Workshops

To most people "Artists" are a mystery, a riddle so elusive, so convoluted that it is often assumed that any degree of success that we achieve is the result of the tempestuous forces of fate, or just plain good luck. But the artist is not an enigma, we are citizens, scholars, parents, daughters and sons. We are just like you. Our gift lays in both Discovery and Insight, the ability to look at life in all of it's diversity, with all of it's challenges, and see the big picture. The Big Picture: Discovery and Insight is a blue print for, leadership, creativity, scholarship, character development, and most of all self realization.

MPAACT's Lectures, Keynotes, Master Classes and Workshops are concerned with developing and nurturing the personal voices of all people. Expression is not a luxury reserved for the artist, it is a necessity for everyone. As such MPAACT's Lectures, Keynotes, Master Classes and Workshops have a diversity of applications, ranging from student and professional development to emerging and veteran artists and their institutions. Through Afrikan Centered Theatre and it's interrelated disciplines, participants are enriched with the language of life. They become more fluent in a variety of expressive styles, the conduit for their personal stories, the gateway to understanding The Big Picture through Discovery and Insight.

Below is a listing of the workshops and lectures we offer followed by some sample descriptions. For a complete listing of MPAACT's master classes and workshops along with detailed descriptions download our Student Development Brochure PDF.

Rates for Workshops range from $250-$3,500 depending on class duration and the number of participating artists. For booking information, please contact Reginald Lawrence at (312) 409 6724 or email: bookings@mpaact.org.
