BlaQ Market Monologues
Drawn from the publication of the same name, this production features monologues and scenes representing the diversity of perspectives, styles and values that have graced the MPAACT stage.
The Underground Poetry Jam
"Its a jam not a Slam"
What's the difference? A "jam" is a virtual love fest. Poets are free to explore in a non-competitive environment without fear or riducule.
MPAACT's resident musicians personally compose musical accompaniment for the work of each participating poet.
Beneath A Dark Sky
This season's full production offering, "Beneath a Dark Sky", is by award winning playwright Shepsu Aakhu. It is a beautifully crafted and touching story of African American life in rural southeast Texas.
In addition, MPAACT offers a host of Master classes and Workshops utilizing MPAACT’s corps of interdisciplinary theatre artists.
