Demetria earned her Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI.  After completing a turn as a Journeyman at The Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC, Demetria relocated to Chicago to continue her career.  Her Chicago credits include Tawanda in Live Bait's production of "Love Child," Cass in Stage Left's production of "Burying the Bones," and Erica in MPAACT's "The Divine Order of Becoming," for which she received a Joseph Jefferson Citation for Best Actress.  Regional credits:  Mrs. Muller in “Doubt” at New Stage Theater,” Medea” at Warehouse Theater, Mistress Ford in “Merry Wives of Windsor” and Phoebe in “As You Like It” at Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Helena in “Midsummer Nights Dream” at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.    Demetria recently earned her MFA in Theater at the University of Houston, where she played Thea in “Hedda Gabler” and Marquise de Merteuil in “Les Liaisons Dangereuses.”  Demetria currently serves as Director of Development for MPAACT.
