Daryl Charisse
Daryl has been a featured actress in numerous MPAACT productions including Within the Dream, Fascia, The Divine Order of Becoming, She Calls Up the Sun, Relavant Hearsay: Stories from 57 and the 2003 touring production Scorched Earth/Fertile Ground. Some of Daryl’s other acting credits include Every Night When the Sun Goes Down, The Trial of One Short Sighted Black Woman vs. Mammy Louise and Safreeta Mae, Whispers Want to Holler, Tatem Family Blues and, Food for the Gods. She was nominated for the Black Excellence Award for Best Actress in the eta production of Five on the Black Hand Side. Daryl has performed extensively Chicago in other productions, including lead roles in Everybody Loves Opal, The Amen Corner, ...And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little, Midnight Angel and, Arsenic and Old Lace. Daryl has worked as stage manager on MPAACT productions of Beneath a Dark Sky, Panther Burn, Softly Blue and Blaxploitation: The Remix. In addition, she was stage manager for eta's production of One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show, Murder on the Hill District, A.J. Pride’s Chicago and the Arlington Heights production of Wives.
